In its 22nd edition? A look aims to practice photography with natural light, a rehabilitation of the eye, the production of photographs with low night lighting and depth of field studies, divided into stages: theoretical and practical.
Eduardo Tropia presents his career in photography, ranging from photojournalism to his contemporary work.
At Easter, the work will be set for religious holidays, a night procession on Passion Friday, a photographic outing at dusk through the city on Saturday in Hallelujah, followed by the production of carpets at night and Sunday, at dawn, stage the finished carpets and the procession of the Resurrection.

Eduardo Tropia
The darkroom has always been present in the life of Eduardo Tropia, renowned photographer of Minas Gerais with 45 years dedicated to the art of writing with light. The son of photographer Milton Tropia, Eduardo grew up looking at his father’s work, a well-known retratist by Pedro Leopoldo and Ouro Preto.
He has produced several exhibitions, among which are: Memory of the Winter Festivities of Ouro Preto and Mariana; Ouro Preto Jazz Everything is Jazz; Ruas de Minha Vida, which was also exhibited in the city of Lagos, Portugal during Cineport 2006. In Belo Horizonte and São Paulo, he signed the exhibition “And we who don’t even know”. He presented works at Casa Cor Minas in 2012 and 2013. He participated in the exhibition Minas Território das Artes, at the Palácio das Artes in May 2014. He has been part of the Olho de Vidro collective for 10 years, where he finds his way through his productions of author finished in fine arts. . With the? Murus? He participated in eight exhibitions in art galleries in MG and SP between 2015 and 2016. He participates with 20 other photographers from Minas Gerais in the documentary “Profissão Fotografo”, produced by Estação Mídia Filmes and premiered in August 2016 in Belo Horizonte. In November of this year, Eduardo Tropia has his work Barroco x Chinesice? of the Series? Baroque Liberto? ? selected for the? 6th Jinan International Photography?, A photography biennial in China, which comprises a collective exhibition with photographers from around the world and, at the same time, present at the Grande Galeria Casa dos Contos, Ouro Preto ,? Retrospective ?, a passage through his 45 years of profession.
Between December 14/16 and January 31, 2017, the Liberto Baroque series was exhibited at the Sant Museum?Ana, in the town of Tiradentes.
Presenting now the baroque x Chinesice exhibition, in the annex of the Museum of Distrust until April 30, Tropia expands the research that gave rise to the images produced for the “VI International Photography of Jinan”.
Tropia maintains his permanent art gallery in Ouro Preto, in the house where the poet Alphonsus de Guimarées lived, sharing the space with handicrafts produced by the family, such as Licor Caseiro de Jabuticaba, a recipe of his grandparents who today repeat two sisters. .
