Weekly Challenge 95: Splash

This week’s theme is the sea of soft drinks: splashes!Or what’s the same, splashes, splashes, you’re going to have to get wet and I mean get wet in the literal sense of the word?

Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in a photo and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog by putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. from portraits to macro photography, landscapes, black-and-white photography, or babies. The themes will be offered on Saturday, so you have the whole weekend to work. You’ll have one week to upload your photo (one photo per participant), until Friday of the following week. Friday or Saturday I will update the article with the photo that most captivated me and propose a new theme, and so on?

  • Maybe you’re wondering why I call it splash if there’s a Word in Spanish that defines the same concept.
  • Well.
  • It’s for several reasons.
  • One because it sounds more attractive and two.
  • And mainly.
  • Because that’s how I encompass splash and splash with a single word?.

This water is very attractive to photograph, you have already noticed, what I do not yet know is if you have tried it, so this week I challenge you to do it because it is a wonderful way to practice and learn. I know it’s not easy, you’ll have to arm yourself with patience, but when you get a result you like, you’ll jump as high as water!Who said water says other liquids, huh?Maybe it can help you to read this article or this, looking for advice or inspiration, try to be original and take care of the composition, the key is to freeze the movement of water (or any other liquid) for which you will have to use very fast speeds and?patience?that as a good photographer, I know you have! And just as you don’t care about water, coffee or any other liquid, it can also be the splash of an animal, a person or an object (or everything!), are the possibilities endless, then?Come on, I want to see these fun, well-directed splashes!

As usual, to participate in this week’s challenge, take your photo to the Facebook wall of the Photographer’s Blog: In the photo description, mention the keyword?Splash Challenge? Followed by a title of your choice.

For those who are not from Facebook, I have enabled the participation of new social networks.

Good picture

Well, I was wrong! I thought that being a very punctual challenge, the answer would be quite loose, but it’s quite the opposite! You have sent many photos and of great quality, I repeat more than garlic, I know, and I have no choice but to thank you again, and wholeheartedly, for continuing to participate. I must also congratulate you, what beautiful pictures!

The photo that caught my eye this week was Jose RL’s “Falling Strawberry. “I like that you have used milk as a liquid to highlight it even more and create an excellent harmony of colors. He perfectly froze the milk, movement while playing very well with depth of field, blurring the background and bringing softness to the texture of the strawberry. The image is fresh, attractive and soft, very similar to the red fruit that causes the “splash”. I love the idea of the spoon, with the strawberry and milk seem ready to consume directly? It’s so appetizing that I think now I’m going to make strawberries!!This image shouldn’t have been easy to achieve, so congratulations! The good working friends of the blog continue.
