Weekly Challenge 90: Photographer’s Blog Readers Selfie

Happy new year! We start the year and we do it differently, this week we have a very special challenge, we want to see you.

Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in photo and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog by putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. Topics range from portraits to macrophotography, landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. The themes will be offered on Saturday, so you have the whole weekend to work. You’ll have one week to upload your photo (one photo per participant), until Friday of the following week. Friday or Saturday I will update the article with the photo that most captivated me and propose a new theme, and so on?

  • As we have just started the year.
  • I want to propose a more specific challenge.
  • It is about putting on faces.
  • Week after week we communicate through articles.
  • Challenges.
  • Your images and comments.
  • The team and yours.
  • But we haven’t seen each other’s faces.
  • So it’s about time.
  • Right? But do not be fooled by yourself.
  • I will not lower my guard and I will only ask you for the typical “selfie” here I catch you here I kill you with your arm extended like Inspector Gadget anywhere or pulling yourself in front of the bathroom mirror.
  • We have seen many of these “selfies” there before.
  • This is a photography blog and that is why I ask you to work a little more on it because it is about learning and taking better photos every day.
  • In several articles that have been posted on the blog they talk about portraiture.
  • I advise you to take a look.
  • For example.
  • At these 10 tips to get wonderful selfies.
  • The complete guide to lighting your portraits.
  • Or what you need a good portrait.
  • Photography.
  • And if you plan to go a step further.
  • Know the body language in portrait photography.

If you want your selfie to be among the most prominent, don’t just have a ad face, if you have one, but that’s not what I notice. What matters most to me is originality, framing, composition, focus, colors, what about you?and will have an “additional point” (hehe, like at school?) these portraits that, in addition to transmitting part of their personality, manage to communicate their goal for 2015. The cover is me, standing up, facing the day with a smile (timid, not knowing what the day will bring me, but with a smile after all) as I start my year smiling. Join the challenge?

As usual, to participate in this week’s challenge, take your photo to the Facebook wall of the photographer’s blog: In the photo description, mention the keyword “Selfie Challenge” followed by a title of your choice.

For those who are not from Facebook, I have enabled the participation of new social networks.

Good picture

It was a pleasure to put you in the face, especially some of you who are almost focused on the weekly challenges. Thank you very much for participating in this “personal” challenge. I would have liked to add some portraits to the sample gallery, but that would be too much! That’s why I invite you to meet them walking through the galleries of Facebook, Twitter or Flickr where other readers have left their “selfie”.

The portrait that I liked the most is that of Jesús Laguna, which also worked well, not like some who should hit him with a slap on the ears for not having read the call to challenge, eh? That I said it wasn’t worth reaching out like Inspector Gadget, it was a photography blog and you need to take a good photo right? Well that’s exactly what Jesus did, in addition to his self portrait he made a beautiful image. With excellent light management, a beautiful composition and a very good choice with black and white (like the chess board that presides over the table? And the photo). I love this smoke that seems to come out of the cup, very worked too, because it is possible that it is more a cigarette or an incense than the vapor of a drink, nevertheless it gives the blow? . As a self-portrait, I find it very funny and original. It shows both versions of the same person, such as the black and white protagonist, his good side and his bad side, the passive and active Jesus, the pensive and the impulsive. We both have two parts of the same self that are constantly fighting like in a chess game, sometimes white wins and sometimes black, in this game, the game, we still don’t know who wins, but in the pixel game, it seems like in the paintings, black and white also fight in the image, in a formidable balance, like the one that Jesus must feel when his two “I” fight each other. In 2015 a new game begins, from your hand it is who will win, Jesus, I wish you for my part that white wins, for everything associated with this color? . Well done for this fantastic image and that this year is a great game for you (and for the rest too, huh ?!)
