The kitchen is a laboratory of sensations and emotions and this week is also our stage for the weekly challenge.
Every week I will propose a new challenge to you, it is a topic that you will have to capture in a photo and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog by putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. Subjects will range from portraits to macro photography, landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. Topics will be offered on Saturday, so you have the entire weekend to work. You will have one week to upload your photo (one photo per participant), until Friday of the following week. Friday or Saturday, will I update the article with the photo that most captivated me and will I propose a new topic, and so on?
- If you think we’re repeating the challenge.
- It’s because you’re a loyal follower of the blog.
- But it’s not exactly like that.
- Just over a year ago it was called the “Gastronomy” challenge.
- Which was to prepare a plate of food and photograph it.
- This time we go further.
- Not only do we care about the result.
- We want to see this creative process.
- The soul of each cuisine.
- The ingredients.
- The utensils and the wonderful artists who laboriously transform the ingredients into pure magic for our palates.
We challenge you to photograph everything related to the kitchen, that part of the house so full of history, aromas and special moments.Have you noticed that many parties start and end in the kitchen?Probably in other cultures this room of the house is not as important as ours, but for us it is.The kitchen is a fundamental part of a home, it is where we feed our stomach and soul through long conversations with tea in hand while the oven cooks what is inside, long afternoon hours around the table or sharing work in the kitchen. And that’s the essence we want to see this week in your footage.Let our stomachs roar, smell the scent of a stew or revel in the creator’s hands.Your challenge this week is to immerse myself in your kitchen, either in high or low key, with a zoom effect, surreally, in a backlight, in color or in black and white, with light or natural light.artificial, whatever., but let it reach me and feel its magic.
As usual, to participate in this week’s challenge, take your photo to the Facebook wall of the photographer’s blog: In the photo description, mention the keyword?Cooking challenge? Followed by a title of your choice.
For those who are not from Facebook, I have enabled the participation of new social networks.
Good picture
After seeing all your pictures, should I say I’m hungry?I’m afraid as soon as this update is over, I’m going to have to stop for lunch! But first, thank you for your participation one more week and I leave you a gallery of the most remarkable images of this challenge:
This week, the photo I liked the most is that of Eila Lifflander. You may or may not agree with me, but for me this photo is full of subtle details that make it my favorite. As for the aesthetic part, I like this “orderly” chaos that fills the frame. I like the harmony of the colors and it seems like a very good perspective in which all the “ingredients” of the image can be seen. In addition, the horizontal framing transmits the tranquility, the tranquility necessary to enjoy a good dish, the tranquility that a pleasant meal produces. And, in addition, the image conveys other sensations related to the kitchen and everything that surrounds it, as I mentioned during the launch of the challenge. On the one hand, the background wood brings the warmth that the kitchens convey to me, the glass of wine reminds me of meals with friends, family, parties? all with a common denominator: the kitchen. On the other hand, the Mediterranean touch that I like so much, vegetables, greens, aromatic herbs? All that set of Mediterranean ingredients results in a (seemingly) delicious pasta dish that at least enters your eyes with fear, which is ultimately where all the food comes in – in plain sight! Good presentation of the dish (the whole) and its components. Can I get the aroma of spices, fried tomato and that spicy flavor of chili? Bon appetit, Eila!
