Weekly Challenge 4: Love

Here’s a new edition of the Weekly Challenge. We already have 3 challenges: black and white photography, portrait and green. We’re going to the bedroom today.

Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in photo and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog by putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. Topics range from portraits to macrophotography, landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. The themes will be offered on Saturday, so you have the whole weekend to work. You’ll have one week to upload your photo (one photo per participant), until Friday of the following week. On Saturday I will update the article with the photo that most captivated me and propose a new theme, etc. This isn’t a contest. Just an excuse to dust off the camera, give it some life and put everything you’ve learned into practice.

  • It’s not a technique.
  • It’s not a color I bring you this week.
  • Nothing tangible.
  • My challenge this week is an idea.
  • A concept.
  • Something abstract called “Love”.
  • What does the word suggest? Turn on the camera and try to represent.
  • In the most beautiful way possible.
  • What “Love” can mean.
  • All objects.
  • Themes.
  • Situations.
  • Techniques.
  • Compositions and colors are accepted.
  • It’s such a free and comprehensive issue that there’s really no excuse for not participating.

Think of a couple held by the hand, a heart drawn in the sand, a kiss, a hug, a wedding ring . . . Think of all the meanings that “Love” can have: fatherly love, love for people, friends, from a child to Dad,?Look for possible topics, such as people, pets or even plastic dolls. How about a ringard theme? No problem, turn it around, portray from your point of view, are you sure you can produce something good?

You can use any technique you want, compose the photo however you want, natural or processed / modified. There are no restrictions. For the noble cause of lovingly filling the Facebook photographer’s blog, is everything okay?

IMPORTANT: In the photo description, mention the keyword “Love Challenge” followed by a title of your choice. Have you had previous photos on the subject of the challenge?Great, please, put it on. It works for me, too.

do you accept the challenge? Post some love on Facebook!

One more week, the wall of the Photographer’s Blog on Facebook again showed impressive photographs, signed by the readers of the blog, entertaining us this time with a good sentimental share. The thousand and one ways you’ve found to express the word “Love” are impressive: your cameras have picked up feet, hands, kisses, toothbrushes, grandparents, children, animals, pigeons, rings, books and even padlocks. You’ve shown that love is great, at least as you imagine and describe it.

As always, CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who struggled to find a theme, composition, lighting, technique and story that portrays a pinch of love.

I loved the portrait of the paternal love captured by José Figueredo López, a correct photograph of the silhouettes, with a very correct composition, respecting doubly the rule of the thirds: subject to the right side of the frame, as well as to the horizon that delimits the also in the third part of the frame. I can’t look at this image without thinking twice about love: the father’s love for his baby and the love he gave birth to.

Tomorrow, a new challenge. Are you getting ready?
