Weekly Challenge 148: Rain

Ready to get wet? We have a new thematic challenge.

Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in photo and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog by putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. Topics range from portraits to macrophotography, landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. On Fridays topics will be offered, so you’ll have the whole weekend to work. You’ll have one week to upload your photo (one photo per participant), until Thursday of the following week. On Thursday I will update the article with the photo that most captivated me and on Friday I propose a new theme so that you have all weekend to capture your images, etc.

  • This week I propose to photograph the rain.
  • A really attractive challenge.
  • Both for its beauty and because it is usually an excuse to keep the camera on.
  • Not anymore.

While many think that rainy days are days when you have to stay safe from a blanket at home, those of us who love photography think it’s a great opportunity to create pictures. So this challenge. And for you to practice these tricks to capture amazing rain photos. The apology’s over, get out in the rain!

As usual, to participate in this week’s challenge, take your photo to the Facebook wall of the photographer’s blog: In the photo description, please mention the keyword?Rain Challenge? Followed by a title of your choice.

For those who are not from Facebook, I have enabled the participation of new social networks.

Good picture

And here’s a small sample of your rain photos, thank you for sending them!

You have sent fantastic images, that of lourdes Torreira Yez is one of them, I want to emphasize for several reasons, one is the chromatic unit thanks to the reflection of the sky on the wet ground, it is one of the powers of rain and that its author has been able to take advantage of. Another aspect that I like is the symmetry that breaks mainly by the man who wanders with the umbrella and that is precisely the element that I liked the most. This is one of the photographs that depend on a timely situation, if this man had not passed, there would have been no photo, this is what brings a story to the image, a center of interest that also contrasts chromatically and aesthetically, while the modern atmosphere clashes with the classic air of the hat and umbrellas like a cane. It is also a figure that by its reflection in the puddles forms a diamond, very recognizable to the viewer. A nice rain shot, congratulations Lourdes!
