We start the year with the batteries charged and with a little luck also with new equipment. After the holidays, it’s time to practice, how about the net portrait?
Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in photo and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog by putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. Topics range from portraits to macrophotography, landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. On Fridays topics will be offered, so you’ll have the whole weekend to work. You’ll have one week to upload your photo (one photo per participant), until Thursday of the following week. On Thursday I will update the article with the photo that most captivated me and on Friday I propose a new theme so that you have all weekend to capture your images, etc.
- We start the year with renewed energies.
- Or at least that’s how it should be?After the particular challenge of this Christmas where we propose the difficult task of choosing your best photo of the year.
- We return to the most “normal” challenges.
- Those that help you practice what you read on the blog and also to use you as an excuse to take out your camera.
Let’s start this 2016 by giving them a clear picture, how to do it is perfectly explained here. Where finding models isn’t that hard either, here are some ideas. And so as not to stay on the technical side and achieve an extremely sharp portrait but that doesn’t make any impact on the audience, can you take a look at these articles to capture a filmed portrait? You don’t run out of information, excuses to shoot either and you have a whole week within the allotted time, do you want it?You’ve got a lot of, let’s go!
As usual, to participate in this week’s challenge, take your photo to the Facebook wall of the Photographer’s Blog: In the photo description, please mention the keyword?Sharp Portrait Challenge? Followed by the title of your choice.
For those who are not from Facebook, I have enabled the participation of new social networks.
Good picture. Happy 2016
And we already have a summary of the week in the form of a gallery, I hope you like them!(Too bad some have such a low resolution?) And thank you for participating!
A clean portrait can afford some licenses, however, where it cannot go wrong is in appearance. This is one of the reasons why this week I want to highlight the photograph “Llamando” by Roger Martínez Molina. A clear face, a clear look that captivates and mesmerizes you. Okay, the girl is pretty and that helps, but from an aesthetic point of view, not a technical one. And the technique is impeccable, it is clearly visible. In addition, the use of light is excellent, despite the use of artificial light, its author managed to give it a warm touch. This retro air obtained with a filter does not go unnoticed either. I like the composition in which there is no fear of cutting, where the frame is filled to give absolute importance to the look. Yes, this is a retouched image but if you want a sharp portrait you have to go through this step, you like it better or you like it less and you have to admit that Roger did a great job in that regard. And finally, don’t you wonder who is this girl going to call? Because the look will be very attractive but at least it doesn’t seem very determined to me? And that gives the story a bit of mystery, right? Congratulations Roger!
