Weekly Challenge 139: Curved Lines (12/11/2015 to 17/12/2015)

Wait, the curves are coming and the most exciting thing, are you ready for the camera?

Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in photo and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog by putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. Topics range from portraits to macrophotography, landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. On Fridays topics will be offered, so you’ll have the whole weekend to work. You’ll have one week to upload your photo (one photo per participant), until Thursday of the following week. On Thursday I will update the article with the photo that most captivated me and on Friday I propose a new theme so that you have all weekend to capture your images, etc.

  • Lines are a very powerful composive resource in photography.
  • If you didn’t know it I highly recommend reading this article if you want to keep taking steps in photography and participate in the challenge with a great photo.
  • Well.
  • This week the challenge concerns the lines.
  • But not any kind of line.
  • But the curved lines.

Curved lines are used to convey movement, they are sensual, suggestive and elegant. And in the curved lines is the “S”, which has great beauty and strength, which is why it is widely used in photography.

Landscape, architecture, nudity? Curved lines are everywhere. Capture its beauty and let us guide your image through it. You can do it in black and white or color, horizontally, vertically or diagonally, from above or below, to your air, but always putting into practice all your photographic knowledge. (especially composition) and taking all that art inside you, what are you waiting for to stamp it?

As usual, to participate in this week’s challenge, take your photo to the Facebook wall of the photographer’s blog: In the photo description, please mention the keyword “Curved Line Challenge” after the title of your choice.

For those who are not from Facebook, I have enabled the participation of new social networks.

Good picture

And here are this week’s curves, to make you dizzy?Emotion!

Of all these beautiful photographs, today I want to highlight that of José Rodríguez, “Final Destination Coca Cola”. Is this an example of intentional error photos that work, or at least for me?Image trepidation is a way to strengthen movement that, with this powerful curved line, which also forms an “S”, is further amplified. It’s a pure-speed photograph, which makes you vibrate almost like you’re on this roller coaster. I love the effect of the red color, the only protagonist with the curves, which only gives strength and character to the movement. I told you, wait, are the curves coming? And know that tomorrow there is a new challenge, and this time very special!
