Sure, you did a lot of portraits, but how many of them were taken at night?Today I challenge you to embark to capture a portrait in the dark (or brightness) of the night.
Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in photo and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog by putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. Topics range from portraits to macrophotography, landscapes, black-and-white photography, or babies. On Fridays topics will be offered, so you have the whole weekend to work. You’ll have one week to upload your photo (one photo per participant), until Thursday of the following week. On Thursday I will update the article with the photo that most captivated me and on Friday I propose a new theme so that you have all weekend to capture your images, etc.
- In the blog we want you to train.
- That you have a camera saved.
- It is like doing 500 km to go to the beach in summer and not bathe.
- We want you to bathe.
- That’s why the challenges I propose every week have a clear intention.
- To dust off your camera and let you be overwhelmed by the thrill of taking photos.
- Which after all is the love that brought you to this blog.
Today my proposal is that you practice night portraiture. And no, I’m not going to leave you in a drifting boat, here are all the keys to it and if you want to go further you can purchase the guide published in the photographer’s Blog to master portrait photography, read the tips to avoid the red-eyed effect or check out the many articles in which we have published portrait. You have a lot of material, now, have you thought about who your model will be?? If you don’t have one, remember that you can still self-portrait?You don’t have an excuse anymore!
As usual, to participate in this week’s challenge, upload your photo to the Facebook wall of the Photographer’s Blog: In the description of the photo, mention the keyword? Night portrait challenge? Followed by a title of your choice.
For those who are not from Facebook, I have enabled the participation of new social networks.
Cheerful and nocturnal photography
Thanks to those who posed and those behind the camera to capture their essence at night, I leave you a small sample, congratulations to everyone!
When you see an image and say “ooohhhh”, it is clear that it stood out from the others, and that is what happened to me with the photograph of Javier Otero Larrea. Of course the choice is completely subjective and where I see an “ooohhh”others can see a “bah”, but I do not think this will happen in this case because it is an original portrait and with a fantastic composition. I love the natural (double) frame that centers the person represented and the lamp that illuminates It seems that everything was consciously placed because everything goes perfectly, however, the snapshot is so spontaneous that you can see that the elements were ordered naturally and Javier managed to capture them with his camera at the right time and with the precision of a good photographic eye I really like this portrait in which its protagonist does not know what his protagonist does not know what which is because he’s in the middle of a reading, with the only company in history and his cigarette, in the shelter of his house. and his book, congratulations Javier!
