Weekly Challenge 128: Rest

Rest, relax or whatever you prefer to call it. These days you won’t have it, will you have to photograph the others?

Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in photo and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog by putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. Topics range from portraits to macrophotography, landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. The themes will be offered on Saturday, so you have the whole weekend to work. You will have a week to upload your photo (one photo per participant), until Friday of the following week, Friday or Saturday I will update the article with the photo that most captivated me and propose a new theme, and so on?

  • One more week I propose a theme to force you to go out with your camera and your photo.
  • Or whatever the same.
  • Enjoy your wonderful hobby while practicing.
  • Learning and improve your technique and creativity.
  • This time.
  • I challenge you to photograph The Rest.
  • This can have a thousand faces.
  • Each person can rest wherever they please.
  • From the SPA to the forest to the bed itself.

No matter the place (or yes), what matters is that you manage to capture someone in a restful attitude and that in addition, it is a good image, it is what it is. I’m going to ask you to clearly see in your photo a resource that you have used to stand out from the crowd, that is, you can play with perspective as in the cover photo, zoom in, make a good black and white, work in high or low key, use negative space or practice with depth of field, etc. (I leave it to you), now if you want to see your image among the highlights, don’t just photograph someone who is sleeping, wake up and take a great photo!

As usual, to participate in this week’s challenge, upload your photo to the Facebook wall of the photographer’s blog: In the description of the photo, mention the keyword? Rest challenge? Followed by a title of your choice.

For those who are not from Facebook, I have enabled the participation of new social networks.

Good picture

Beautiful images you gave us. Here’s a little sample and my sincere thanks for your contributions one more week:

The photograph that captivated me this time is that of Lauri with the title “Fewer whispers in your bed, fewer secrets, fewer smiles?Less our world?” I found it very appropriate to use a negative space for a topic like this challenge: rest; Well, it’s a way to let your eyes rest, focusing only on the protagonist. A simple blank image, full of poetry, with a beautiful light and impeccable composition and aesthetics. It represents a rest that is not obscured by the morning light that invades the room with energy, an unperturbable, serene and quiet rest, as the image and how it transmits it. Congratulations, Lauri, and keep giving us pictures like this!
