In this week’s Challenge, already the tenth (here are the previous challenges), I invite you to experience the manual mode of your SLR camera. Welcome to the wonderful world of Bokeh photography.
Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in photo and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog by putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. The themes will be varied, from portraits to macro photographs, landscapes, black and white photographs or babies. The themes will be offered on Saturdays, so you have the whole weekend to work on them. You’ll have one week to upload your photo (one photo per participant), until Friday of the following week. On Saturday I’ll update the article with the photo that captivated me the most and propose a new theme, and so on?
Bokeh is a type of photography with infinite benefits
I have a full article dedicated to this technique, with detailed examples and steps. The challenge this week is that you apply the tutorial and impress me with the result. Be creative, look for examples that inspire you and, above all, lose your fear of the camera. Stop making excuses and start taking photos, what do you like?
Remember, the challenge is not to produce a beautiful photo, but to practice the technique and learn.
To participate, you must upload the photo to Facebook: In the photo description, please mention the keyword?Bokeh Challenge?followed by a title of your choice.
For those who are not from Facebook, I have enabled the participation of new social networks.
Notice, with the excuse of a photographic technique called Bokeh, we ended up with a splendid collection of small stories, a puzzle of micro-stories. Every photo you participated in tells a small story, the Bokeh is an aesthetic technique, say the “container”, but without an interesting “content” that removes feelings and emotions from the inside, the photo would be completely empty. Thank you to everyone who participated who expressed interest and desire to learn and share. As usual, I bring you here a random selection of some of the jewels you uploaded to the wall of Facebook and other social networks.
And as usual, I hesitated from photography to stand out throughout the selection. They’re all great, but Xabilam’s “Where the Memories” seemed to me to be a perfect combination of a well-executed Bokeh technique, impeccable composition: rule of thirds, curves leading the look, a human factor present in the photo or even through another photo that gives it an interesting game, and a more than tanned title.
Tomorrow I bring you an extremely fun and creative challenge?
