Although Panasonic has the company’s flagship Super 35mm 4K digital camera on its VariCam 35, they have just introduced a model at half price and size, which can have Canon EF or PL mounts. Does the new VariCam LT take sensor 35 and place it?in a much smaller housing with slightly reduced specifications: 4K to 60p, instead of 4K to 120fps. The LT has many of the same features, including the single sensor structure with dual ISO, which allows you to take pictures at 800 or 5000 of your own. In addition, the ProRes camera offers recording as its older sister. up to 240 frames per second in trimmed sensor mode.
We also know that Odyssey 7Q’s converged design will support 4K RAW for this camera when it launches in a firmware update this summer. As for the price, it is advertised on a list with a suggested price of $18K and $24K with your OLED. It is interesting to note that list prices can vary from actual prices, and that this cannot be fixed forever, and could be lower when the professional camera actually launches in March.
According to Panasonic, this camera is intended for a more specific market than the Varicam 35:
? The VariCam LT will be the ideal camera for manual, SteadiCam, gallows, crane, drone, gimbal and global work in the cinema. Varicam LT is also tailor-made for owners/operators, independent filmmakers, documentary producers and corporate production creators.

Panasonic VariCam LT Workflow
The new LT also has an interesting V-LOOK color profile, which should give it a less squashed image, but not as flat as a trunk, according to the company:
Powerful color management capabilities combined with a wide range of VariCam colors and support for the Academy Color System Encoding (ACES) workflow provide complete and accurate control of the content of the original font. Varicam LT offers in-camera color calibration, with the ability to record an unvaluated 4K master with all classification metadata set. A new color processing feature is it? V-LOOK,?It acts as a mixture of V-Log and video, and allows the acquisition of documentary films, without even the need for intense color gradation.
