Between 22 and 26 March, photography took place in the historic town of Tiradentes. Photographer Davilym Dourado’s photobook “Rain Out of Place” shows a manifesto in favor of nature, reflecting climate change that weakens humanity. The work makes it possible to become aware of the relationship between man and the environment.

The work “The Small Path of the Unsuspected”, by photographer Cyro Almeida, gathers the photographic archives of several characters found on the outskirts of Belém (PA). The visual narrative that makes up the book was planned according to the route of vans (alternative and unregulated urban transport) that connect peripheral neighborhoods considered as areas of risk of violence. Photographs do not address urban violence, but challenge to think about how stereotypical representation, social distinction and the fantasy of fear are widely repeated against these peripheral regions. , reinforce the stigma and violence they criticize.

Since 2004, the Foto em Pauta project in Belo Horizonte organizes free and open debates on Brazilian photographic work in Belo Horizonte, as well as allowing guests to know the work of great artists and talk to the authors about the design of their works.
