Canon is preparing to present its new DSLR cameras on the market, the Canon EOS 6D Mark II, at the end of this month. Canon Rumors reports that the camera will be announced on June 29, 2017 and will begin shipping to distributors starting in August 2017.
The Canon EOS 6D Mark II will feature a new 26-megapixel sensor. 26MP resolution is a very important step for the new digital camera model that appears from the 20. 2MP offered by the original 6D. This same camera is also known for LCD. 3 inches on the back, making it the first DSLR camera with Full Frame sensor with articulated display.
- Even canon EOS 5DS and 5DS R cameras from camera manufacturers were cautious about pixel counting.
- Going from 20 to 24 MP would be enough for many photographers.
- But rumors suggest it could be a little larger than the 26 MP.
- A high number of pixels would make the proposal much more attractive to professional photographers.
There are also a number of other specifications and features already confirmed in the Canon EOS 6D Mark II: the camera will have a dual pixel autofocus, a DIGIC 7 image processor, a 1080/60p video recording (without 4K video), wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth confirmed, NFC probably), touchscreen functions, a slightly larger body than the original 6D and a new gun battery pin.
Rumor features that have not yet been confirmed include a 45-point autofocus system, a viewer with coverage of approximately 100% and HDR/Time-lapse movie modes.
