THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHY MOVIES: EXPLOSION? AFTER THAT KISS

The cold and nothing better than coming home from work or waiting for the weekend to watch a good movie under the sheets appears, right? With this in mind, we’re making a special of the best photography films ever released. Last article in the series, are we going to talk a little bit about the movie Blow-up?After Daquele Beijo, a co-production between Italy and the United Kingdom, with a staging signed by the famous Italian director Michelangelo Antonioni.

Exploit? After That Kiss, Michelangelo Antonioni’s film, tells the story of a London fashion photographer named Thomas (David Hemmings), who after spending the night taking photographs for an art book, returns late to his studio for a photo shoot with model Veruschka (in her own role).

  • Along the way.
  • Walk through a city park and photograph a couple.
  • The woman in the photos.
  • Jane (Vanessa Redgrave).
  • Furious at being photographed.
  • Follows the photographer to her studio and claims the negatives.
  • Are you curious about your attitude when you make enlargements to your photos – despite the great vein caused by the black-and-white images – discover what you think is a body and a hand pointing a gun at the park’s bushes.

In this way, the plot begins to unfold: Did Thomas discover a murder, or did the grains of expansion lead him to see what doesn’t really exist? These questions weigh on the heads of those who follow the film’s narrative.

In the background, we see a very energetic and effervescent London: a clairvoyant portrait of freedom and the emergence of new styles in the sixties; a time far past the characters’ clothes.

Later, Thomas returns to the park at nightfall and discovers a body in the middle of the forest, but, surprised by a noise, returns to his photographic studio, which is now all run over and realizes that photographs have been stolen. The next day, back in the park, he sees that the body has disappeared and ends without being sure what he actually saw.

At this point, doubt intensifies even for those who have seen it. So, Blow-up? After That Kiss is an excellent film with traces of drama and suspense that, even after 50 years of its release, remains enigmatic and surprising: one of these films that no matter the time, will always be a good classic to watch and enjoy.
