To celebrate the anniversary of Sao Paulo, which today represents 463 years of great history, we have separated six sensational places from this great metropolis to photograph:
1? Terrace Italy
- It is one of the best known tourist attractions in the city.
- The Itelia terrace is located on the rooftop of Edif-cio Italia (Avenida Ipiranga).
- On the 41st floor.
- Where there is a restaurant specializing in Italian cuisine.
- See the whole city.
- Producing beautiful images of the Sao Paulo skyline.
2? Martinelli Building
Another well-known building in Sampa is the Martinelli, designed by the Hungarian architect Vilmos Fillinger of the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, it was built in 1929 with the brick masonry construction technique and concrete structure, currently it is considered one of the most important architectural symbols of the city. Located between Rua Sao Bento, Avenida Sao Joo and Rua L’bero Badaro, it is open to visitors who cannot avoid taking several pictures of the city center.
3? SESC Pompeii
The architectural project signed by Lina Bo Bardi, SESC Pompeia preserves the original structure of a former drum factory of the 1930s, where a center of culture and leisure now operates, there are also sports fields, a swimming pool, exhibition areas, a restaurant and an outdoor café. The theatre, which has an unusual structure, has two audience fronts, with the stage between them. The wooden armchairs, without padding, refer to the ancient Greco-Roman theatres, which had stone seats. Located at 93 Clélia Calle, it offers the visitor a good option for photographic essays.
4? Batman Alley
Now one of my favorite places has arrived in Sao Paulo: Beco do Batman, a street in Vila Madalena, in one of the most bohemian neighborhoods of the metropolis, named after graffiti of the same name CHARACTER by DC Comics. Many years ago, eventually becoming a tourist spot because of the endless graffiti painted on its walls, ideal for lovers of street photography.
5? Banespao (Altino Arantes building)
Located in Sao Paulo’s Old Town, the Altino Arantes building was inspired by the famous Empire State Building in New York. With 161. 22 meters high, 35 floors, 14 elevators, 900 steps and 1,119 windows, it was considered in the 1940s. Being the largest reinforced concrete construction in the world, for almost 20 years it was the highest in the city, its tower offers stunning views: from the top of the viewpoint the field of view is 360 degrees and reaches 40 km, a place synonymous with incredible photographs.
