In some cultures, it is believed that by portraying a person, we are part of his soul. The reason is not lacking. Portraiture is the most graphic representation of a person’s essence, expression, and soul. As a photographic practice, the portrait contains a unique power lacking in other photographic disciplines: it allows, as a photographer, to connect two humans through a cliché. The emotional burden and “plasticity” of feelings that allows you to make a portrait is not easily found in other types of photography. Are we passionate about portraiture?
From the photographer’s blog, we encourage ourselves to do our little bit in terms of portrait photography. And we did it in book form. It was an attempt to satisfy a clamor among readers that was becoming increasingly difficult to ignore: many of you like portraits, many of you flooded my mailbox with questions related to another aspect of portrait photography, and the articles we blog from time to time. time does not seem to quench our thirst for information. You had to work on something much larger and more detailed than a simple article. And we did.
- Unlike my first book.
- This time the entire team of blog contributors got involved.
- I was interested in putting in your hands something richer and “inclusive” than my own personal vision.
- So we all work to bring our “personal something” Everyone: Alexa.
- Caro.
- Iaio and a server.
- Do we like to prepare the content of the book as much as when we are behind the viewer taking pictures?.
Last week was hectic because that’s when we launched the book exclusively for VIP readers of the blog. Today, I am very happy to present “Mastering Portrait Photography” publicly.
The new book has 120 pages and is distributed in digital PDF format, the content is structured in 12 chapters that deal with the most important aspects of portrait photography, we talk about photographic material, accessories (always focused on portraiture), composition, lighting, effects, technique, but above all how to captivate and move a portrait How to tell stories with the release of a shutter How to give birth to a portrait that speaks, tells things and does not leave indifferent Beyond the physical beauty of female lips , or the sexy unshaven two-day beard of a model “who arouses passions”, the true beauty of a portrait is in the story it tells, in the reflection it provokes. The emotion that makes you feel.
I’d like you to take a look and, if you’re interested, get a copy. The book is immediately sent by email, allowing you to start from now on.
Remember that a well done portrait can reveal stories that words cannot tell, which you have never seen in a portrait that captivated you, but that you have not been able to explain.
