Photoretum15: Drops

I bring you a new theme for you to choose your camera and practice your favorite pastime: photography.

Our Photoretum aims to encourage you to practice photography, encourage you every week to spend time with your camera and unleash your creativity while practicing and learning.

  • The concept of Fotoreto is very simple: every Friday I will propose a new photographic video theme.
  • Sometimes I will show you an example of a photo to inspire you.
  • Other times I will just give you a hint or advice that can be applied when doing the Photoretum.

Each time, you will have 7 days to participate in the Photoretum of the week in question, until the following Thursday, download it to your favorite social network (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Flickr) once we have posted the call and not to mention the hashtag or tag corresponding to the Fotoretum in question. This week will be Photoreto15.

Each week, we will select a winning photograph. The author of the photo will get his favorite book from our BdF e-book library.

When you participate in the Fotoretum, we understand that you allow the photographer’s blog to publish your photo, under no circumstances do you give us your copyright, the author of the photograph and who maintains the exclusivity of the copyright is you.

With this Photoretum I will show you that photographing a drop of falling water is not as difficult as you thought, knowing the tricks and with a little patience you can get it.

As a general recommendation, use an SLR camera, in manual mode and with a relatively fast shutter speed to freeze the fall.Shooting in bursts will be of great help in this effort.Start firing a little before the drop drops and stop the burst once.more tips and recommendations have been dropped in the video on the left.

And remember, be patient, because you will need to take some pictures to get exactly the moment you want.

When you have your photo upload it to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Flickr with the hashtag Fotoreto15.We’ll review all the images you upload to all four platforms from this article.

I’m waiting for your picture

You see that you have worked hard, photographing a drop is not easy, it requires a lot of patience that you have shown, you can see the results on Facebook, Instagram, Flickr and Twitter.

This week’s winning image belongs to Yudi Beneguti and is so spectacular.

When technique, patience and luck come together to make a show like this.

It is a photograph very well executed technically, the lighting is perfect, if I am not mistaken, and as you can guess by the reflection of the drop, used a white point of light on one side and on the other red or orange, possibly with an inclination of about 45 degrees, although this is what I deduce only from the reflection. The black background was very well made to leave all the prominence to the drop and generate such an eye-catching contrast. The approach is also remarkable, it is not easy when it comes to a droplet.

I also really like the aesthetics, the black background, the white drop and the red liquid; combined, manage to improve the outcome.

And what fascinates me the most is the form that acquired, according to the author, by the collision of two drops, I confess to having spent some time looking at this image and discovering shapes, although the one that is most evident to me is an alien with a skirt and dance, as strange as it is attractive to the eyes. But I can see his eyes, his mouth, his arms and a hand.Is it Luck or is my imagination too awake?

At first I mentioned luck, but I don’t believe it as people usually think, I think luck comes for everyone, what happens is that some expect it to work, with everything they need ready and be able to chase it, others expect luck to arrive with very little effort and that it usually happens because the nets are not ready to catch it.

According to Yudi, you’ve spent the whole afternoon photographing droplets, the parameters you’ve used will matter, many will ask for them, and if you want to share them you’ll be welcome, but dear readers, stay with the most important ones., illusion and practice. That’s the way.

Bravo Yudi, this is an awesome photo

Tomorrow new Photoreto, with a theme that will come to you, be careful!
