Photoreto4: Flowers

A new edition, Fotoreto4, awakens your creativity and your desire to take pictures.

If you’re a regular at the BoF, you know we’ve always encouraged you to practice photography, whether with weekly challenges or weekly inspiration. What you are reading right now Fotoreto is the evolution of this tradition towards a new format, typical of the time.

  • The concept of Fotoreto is very simple: every Friday I will propose a new video photo theme.
  • Sometimes I will show you an example of a photo to inspire you.
  • Other times I will only give you a clue or a tip that can be applied when making the Photoretum.

Each time, you will have 7 days to participate in the Photoretum of the week in question, until the following Thursday, download it to your favorite social network (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Flickr) once we have posted the call and not to mention the hashtag or tag corresponding to the Photoreto in question. This week will be Photoreto4.

Each week, we select a winning photo. The photo author will get his favorite book from our BdF eBook library.

When you participate in the Fotoretum, we understand that you allow the photographer’s blog to publish your photo, under no circumstances do you give us your copyright, the author of the photograph and who maintains the exclusivity of the copyright is you.

This week I propose a photoretum of the most colorful within everyone’s reach. Don’t you need to have a great mastery of photography to capture a flower, besides, you can pick them up on the street, on the ground, in the botanical garden, or even photograph a bouquet of flowers at home?

In this Photoreto4 go from macro to landscape, as long as the flower is the main element, can you work the color, contrast, black and white or whatever you want, the margin is very wide ?.

When you have your photo upload it to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Flickr with the hashtag Fotoreto4. We’ll review all the images you upload to all four platforms from this article.

I’m waiting for your picture

Stunning photos that you have uploaded to the different profiles of Instagram, Flickr, Facebook and Twitter. We are amazed by the quantity, variety and quality of the images received. A week more impossible to highlight all the highlights and difficult to choose. Congratulations to everyone !

The winning photo is by José Luis Picado Iglesias and is titled “Amapola”. Among the rest of the vegetation, she is the obvious protagonist.

Its author has used different resources to enhance it, such as selective development or the natural environment. This is a good example that rule violation is also possible and recommended. The poppy is in the center, ignoring the rule of thirds and still works. And although there are many elements, the look is clear where to perch after a walk through the rest of the image, but beyond a beautiful composition or impeccable technique, what I like most about this photograph is light. José Luis has created a beautiful backlight in which he pierces the petals, highlights each hair on the stems and draws the profile of the rest of the vegetation as if he had used a golden brush, I love the soft bokeh and color contrast, and I love the perspective of where it took you to give the impression that one more flower dances with the rest in the middle of the field. This makes you breathe clean air and feel the heat of the sun. Congratulations José Luis.

Don’t miss tomorrow’s Photoreto, is this an attractive and very suggestive subject?I’m not saying any more.
