Panasonic has just announced its Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX85 (GX80 outside North America), a cheaper sister of the Lumix GX8 that features a 16MP Live MOS sensor without an AA filter, a redesigned shutter mechanism and a dual IS with 5 axes. removing the anti-battle filter increases the resolution of details by 10%, and an electromagnetic shutter mechanism aims to reduce shutter blur.
The GX80 offers a “Dual IS” that combines its 5 integrated stabilization axes with OIS in the lens, offering up to 4. 5 vibration reduction points. This is a 4-axis upgrade of the GX8 system. Naturally, the GX85 records 4K/UHD 30p videos and all associated photography features, including 4K Photo and Post Focus.
