New NASA photographs taken with RED EPIC DRAGON

In January, we received the good news that the new RED EPIC DRAGON arrived in one piece on the International Space Station (ERA, for simplicity). We had to wait a while, but finally the moment of truth has arrived and NASA has announced the new images taken by this camera that records in 4K and 6K.

For those unfamiliar with RED EPIC DRAGON, this camera is one of the best and has appeared in recordings of major Hollywood movies and a variety of TV shows. Its ability to shoot in 4K and 6K is certainly one of the main advantages, but it is not the only one. In addition to being compact and easy to operate, your lenses can be replaced by many of those already used in other digital SLRs.

  • As soon as RED EPIC DRAGON arrived at the Space Station.
  • The astronauts started playing with their new toy.
  • Photos and videos were taken in space showing all the quality of the RED EPIC DRAGON 4K image.
  • If you want to watch more videos.
  • Go to NASA’s YouTube channel and you’ll see interesting things shot in 4K.
  • Like in the video below.

In the video, astronaut Terry Virts pulls out a floating water ball, into which he inserts an effervescent tablet to see how it dissolves and releases gases into the air. Rodney Grubbs, director of NASA’s imaging specialists program at the Center Marshall of Space Flight in Huntsville, Alabama, says that the images themselves are dynamic to the subject and, in detail, the “high resolution” makes the video particularly fascinating.

“This is a breakthrough in space flight camera technology,” Grubbs said. “These cameras have large sensors capable of producing very high resolution images at high frame rates. It’s like having a 35mm high-speed imaging camera, but it’s compact, you can wear lenses that we already have up there, and it’s digital. Is there no film to return to Earth?.

The RED EPIC DRAGON camera is the same model used to record movie releases as Hobbit trilogy and television programs. Ultra-HD TVs capable of receiving and watching 4K shows are now sold in stores.

While 4K resolutions are ideal for displaying on movie screens, NASA video editors are working on Space Station videos for the public to view on YouTube. You will be able to watch high resolution videos with images of the interior and exterior of the orbital laboratory directly on your computer screen. You will need a screen capable of displaying 4K resolution for full effect, but the images still outperform standard cameras. RED EPIC DRAGON videos and images are captured with higher fidelity and then converted, which means that much more information is captured in the images, resulting in high-quality playback even if you don’t have a screen. 4K. ?

As you can see, this was not the first 4K digital camera to hit the ISS. However, due to the enthusiasm shown by the NASA team, this was without a doubt one of the best cameras to ever come to the Station. Certainly after this successful project RED EPIC DRAGON has already planned to send new cameras to EEI. With the reveal of the new 8K camera that was announced at this year’s NAB, it is very possible that we will soon be able to see 8K images of IED and our planet.
