NASA publishes old photographs of astronauts in 4K!

Have we talked a bit about some of the 4K / UHD images that NASA captures in space? specifically on the International Space Station? with the RED DRAGON 6K camera, which is already a magnificent and historic event in its own right. But this video that NASA recently released is truly historic. For the first time in history, astronauts eat fresh food grown in space. The video is in 4K on YouTube on the NASA channel and below you can see some of the images they managed to take. It is truly a historic and incredibly difficult feat. It is the first time that food has managed to grow in a totally inhospitable environment. The possibilities that this little experience, is beyond our cuts, per hour. Perhaps in the future we will tell our grandchildren that we were present when humans actually began to colonize space, giving life to the most basic form of sustenance in orbit. It was published by NASA, but as we said, these photos were taken on the International Space Station, and there are astronauts of different nationalities. Let’s seize the opportunity and congratulate ourselves on this great achievement. Planting anything is already very difficult and requires a lot of dedication. Now doing this in space is not for everyone.

After so much discussion, now let NASA talk more about this amazing project. Here are some words from NASA on more information about the video and the experiment, which they call Veg-01:

  • For the first time in history.
  • Fresh food grown in the microgravity environment of space is on the menu for NASA astronauts aboard the International Space Station.
  • The Expedition 44 crew Scott Kelly.
  • Kjell Lindgren and Kimiya Yui displayed the red lettuce.
  • Which was grown as part of the Veggie Experiment after spending 33 days aboard the growing season.

Did NASA develop Veggie technology aboard the International Space Station to provide future pioneers with a sustainable dietary supplement? it is an essential part of NASA’s trip to Mars. As NASA heads on long-term exploration missions elsewhere in the solar system, Veggie will be a resource for crew growth and food consumption. It could also be used by astronauts in recreational gardening activities while on deep space missions.

High-resolution images and higher frequency 4K video images can reveal more information when used in scientific investigations, providing researchers with a valuable new tool aboard the International Space Station.

Obviously this is a great event, and if we plan to travel long distances in space, the culture of food will be very important. What’s really impressive about these 4K videos is that NASA provides them (like most other materials) under a public domain license, which means you can not only download them, but you can also download them. edit, and use them in their own work, even if it’s for commercial purposes. You can use video and photographic images. It’s really great to have 4K images with such free quality, even more historical images like NASA’s. As NASA itself said, this mission is important for any long-term thinking. Any option we have to travel and explore space will involve developing ways we can survive for a long time without returning to earth. That’s why it’s so important and historic to plant in space. NASA continues to make history and, best of all, they also love to share this story with everyone for free.
