I’m in a sea of doubt.
Facebook is an excellent communication channel that I have with the readers of this blog, in addition to serving as a means to practice photographs, share them, give and receive constructive comments and reviews, I also use it to inform blog fans of all the new articles we publish.
- For some time.
- In addition to posting new articles on our Facebook wall.
- I post status links to old blog posts on Facebook.
- Which are elements that I keep from files and that I consider of special importance or relevance.
- Too bad that many readers who land on the blog keep the current articles and miss the usefulness of the more than 500 articles that the blog carries behind them.
Most of these readers write to me daily with questions and questions about topics that we have already discussed on the blog.
I feel like people need to be reminded of the most important articles, so I decided to update the Facebook wall with 2-3 daily articles, saved from the blog files, in addition to the 3 weekly articles we post on the blog.
It should be noted here that although the articles were published a year or two ago, they are still valid, I avoid posting links to articles about outdated cameras, for example, but when it comes to tips for acquiring a goal or tricks to photograph landscapes, I find it a great shame to see how many readers are going through something.
It worked. I was looking at the number of fans who found a lot of value in those previous articles. But I also noticed the embarrassment this caused to those who had read the article in question before. Some of you are regular blog readers, you read each and every article I publish, a reason for joy for me of course. But that means you can find those archived articles already “repeated”.
Some have caught my eye through Facebook, asking me to stop posting links to previous articles and just post only new ones.
Others even thought that the photographer’s blog had stopped producing new articles, too bad they thought this because my team of collaborators and I do the impossible because you have access, every week, and totally free for you, open and without annoying advertising, 3 totally new and unpublished articles (not counting the weekly challenge), with the extension and quality I always wanted for the content of this blog.
Where do we think we only publish old articles? I was perplexed
I’m in a sea of doubt.
Dear reader, if you don’t follow me on Facebook, and you just read what’s posted here on the blog, it doesn’t affect you at all, do you still like the articles we post on the blog, always?New and unpublished? And above all, keep putting them into practice and enjoy your passion as a photographer.
If on the contrary you are one of those who follow the blog through the page that we have activated on Facebook, I would like you to give me your honest opinion: do you like the rate of posts that we currently have on the Facebook wall? Can you post the links to the 3-4 articles weekly, as well as some saved items from the files, although I guess you will see them sometimes repeated?
Would you rather we post links to new articles on Facebook, because if not, we’ll fill your News Feed/Wall with things you’ve seen before?
Help me make the best decision. I’m launching a survey: tell me what your preference is. I promise to follow the recommendation that you get more votes. No co-participation. The blog will be mine, but the decision is yours.
I’ll leave the vote open for seven days. Next week, Monday, I close the vote.
Thank you for helping me make this blog useful
I owe you one.
So the question?
Update: Thanks to the more than 2600 people who contributed to your vote. The vast majority of you think you should keep remembering the articles on the Facebook page, as they add a lot of value, especially for those who haven’t. able to read them in the past.
So I will. We will also add the motto “From the file” or something similar to clarify that it is an article already published. Do I think that’s the idea that suits us best?
Thanks again for the help
Good photography!
