The art of photography seduces many people around the world, even those who have a position in another profession may end up harboring a repressed desire to live alone representing their point of view through a camera, and it was this kind of attitude that turned people around.the previously unknown Nigerian ima Mfon from information technology consultant in New York to a member of a photography exhibition in her hometown of Lagos.
And this process, despite evident growth, took place in the astonishing period of just 11 months, a process that Ima himself described in an interview with the North American website Photo Magazine.

During his short career as an exclusively active activity in the photography industry, the Nigerian has obtained, in addition to his Master’s Degree in Professional Photography Studies at the renowned School of Visual Arts in New York, the opportunity to exhibit his work at the Klompchin Gallery., after being one of the winners, of the FRESH Prize 2015, and has his most recent work, “Nigerian Identity?(Nigerian identity) promoted on the website of the Photographic Museum of Humanity, both located in the United States.
Regarding his future, Mfon revealed that he intends to open a photographic studio in Lagos to establish himself in the place that was the most important source of inspiration for his portfolio and pursue his dream, in addition to other more specific objectives:
“While I’m developing my personal case, I also do self-employment and small contracts to live and cover my expenses.I plan to return to Nigeria, my home country, by the end of this year and open my own studio.I’m very interested in this commercial and advertising world too, I’d like to one day shoot for Vogue.My goal is also to have a published book. I am still at an early stage, where I want to explore colonialism and what has been the effect of this phenomenon on Nigeria as a country.?
