Free photography course in Sao Paulo

If you like photography and you live in the city of Sao Paulo or in neighboring municipalities, write it down on the agenda, July and August will be very busy months for you, the Municipal Secretary of Culture organizes a very special event with a wide program. A photography course will be organized in various parts of the city, as well as photographic exhibitions.

Do the topics cover nature, literature, cooking? In other words, it’s a great artistic convergence. Anyone interested in participating, just sign up for free. Check the dates and locations of each activity below:

July 10, from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. , at the Parque Villa-Lobos library.

This photography course will present the history of this art, techniques and tips for using the equipment. The best photos taken at this event will be used for the show Nature, colors and shapes, which will take place in the Library.

Participants must bring their own camera, even if it is a mobile phone. Registration can be done at the Library or by email: [email protected].

Until July 8, Tuesday to Saturday, at Casa Mário de Andrade

Tuesday through Friday, it’s 2:30 p. m. , until 8:00 p. m. On Saturdays the opening hours are from 10:30 to 13:30 h.

The theme of “plots?” it is the work of Mario de Andrade. La exhibition presents photographs selected by curator Karina Bacci. Guest artists will give workshops to visiting audiences, and photos taken during this photography course will also be included in the exhibition. More information can be found about this website.

From July 14th to 30th, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:30 p. m. at 9:30 p. m. , at Casa Morio de Andrade.

This photography course is for those who wish to improve the correct use of photographic equipment. Using food photography as a theme, lighting techniques, image exposure time, effects and scenery will be presented. The tips taught are the same as those used in the professional production of culinary media, such as magazines, books and websites.

Participants must bring their own digital camera and have intermediate knowledge of the use of the equipment. Registrations must be made until July 2. More information can be found on this website.

On different dates and places

In the Culture units, you will be offered courses to deepen your knowledge of photography, there will also be an exhibition. Are there different workshops, with different times, places and themes? From 01 to 31 July, from Tuesday to Sunday, at the jaan cultural factory.

From Tuesday to Friday, opening hours are 9 a. m. 8 p. m. On Saturdays and Sundays times vary.

The exhibition features photographs showing how the local community views Jaçan. More information can be found on the website.

From 08 to 30 August, Saturdays and Sundays, at 10h and 14h, at the Museu de Arte Sacra.

During this photography course, participants will learn how to take pictures using the Pin Hole technique and, soon after, reveal them in lab N

You don’t need to register or bring equipment, but it’s important to arrive 15 minutes in advance. Each session of this photography course lasts 90 minutes and 12 people can participate. More information can be found on the Museum’s website.
