Changing photographs that will fill you with inspiration, which one is your favorite?

A few days ago we talked about decentralized lenses, also called tilt shifts, if you have not been able to read the article or want to update it, click here. I’ll just give you a short summary to shed some light on the subject.

I suppose that even if you do not know what it is, only with the name you can deduce a little how they work, the almost decentralized lenses can be moved vertically or horizontally in relation to the optical axis, which corrects the distortion of the lines (since they allow to place the lens parallel to them) or they can be moved to the sides to make panoramas or blur different planes in the image , thus obtaining the thumbnail effect of your photos.

  • In the following gallery you will find images of buildings.
  • Which undoubtedly make the strength of these objectives.
  • You will see that the lines are straight and unadorned.
  • You can also see the result of panoramic images worked with one of these lenses or the striking Thumbnail Effect created by blurring the different planes of the image.

Let’s look at it in pictures so you have an idea of what you could achieve with these goals.

As you can see, what stands out mainly of these objectives is basically its ability to correct the distortion of the lines, making it an indispensable objective for all photographers seriously interested in architecture ;-), but not only that, it is very interesting the lateral movement, which allows us to play with focus on different shots of the image, or make incredible panoramic images.

If you are an architecture enthusiast, this type of lens will be your best choice :-).

I hope you liked this gallery, if that’s the case, share it with someone else who might be interested or interested in knowing what a tilting lens is and what can be achieved through it. Thank you and next time :-).
