Light, lots of light is what you will need this week to get excited. It’s your challenge, do I know? .
Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in a photo and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog by putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. from portraits to macro photography, landscapes, black-and-white photography, or babies. The themes will be offered on Saturday, so you have the whole weekend to work. You’ll have one week to upload your photo (one photo per participant), until Friday of the following week. Friday or Saturday I will update the article with the photo that most captivated me and propose a new theme, and so on?
- In many articles we have talked about high key and low key.
- A few weeks ago we dedicated the challenge to the low key and now it is the turn of the high key technique.
- You do not know what it is? Okay.
- That’s why I’m here.
- To tell you what I know about photography and guide you on the path of learning.
- And that’s what the challenge is to learn.
- Because remember that you learn by doing.
High key is a photographic technique that consists of using a lot of light, yes, a lot, because in these images what predominates are reflections. Do these photographs convey softness, peace, joy? They evoke positive feelings and are very refreshing to watch. So is this technique very suitable for child photography, maternity photography, portraits, weddings?

Good picture
I must inform you that my computer has undergone a significant change, all viruses took off after being attacked by hundreds of positive images. Thank you very much! Here are some examples of these photos that give such good vibes.
“Geranio” by Adolfo Jiménez captivated me. I keep seeing it over and over again. It transmits calm, peace and at the same time joy, freshness, exactly what this technique should convey. I can almost stroke the pink petals that look like subtle brush strokes on the white background. With a very careful composition, its author has clearly highlighted the flower of the leaves, playing with depth of field, since he has blurred the leaves in the foreground, to such an extent that they seem light strokes of watercolor. . The stem forms a line that directs the gaze towards the petals, which means that no matter how hard you try to look away, the flower will be attracted again and again, irremediably. And not only does the stem guide the eye, but the color contrast makes the flower stand out even more. It is a good idea to use this technique in high key to photograph the sweetness of a plant. I could put this enlarged photo in front of my sofa and look at it endlessly without getting tired, to relieve myself of stress, the bad vibes of everyday life and receive the smell of a flower that reminds me of my childhood but especially of my grandmother, the one that throws me petals from the sky to brighten my days. Congratulations Adolfo, the challenge was to evoke positive feelings and were you more successful than anything? .
