The Canon 77D came on the market in April of this year and finds its place. In my case, it ended up replacing my beloved 450D that has accompanied me throughout these years. As I pray in the title, it is a small but intimidating camera, by that I mean that despite its appearance for its size, it is a very complete machine with a processor and sensor that have more advanced cameras, here I leave you with the features of this great machine, so that you can see everything it is able to do (I discover it again!) :
Undoubtedly weight and size, touch screen and folding, object focus and tracking system and face detection, plus its focus is very fast and accurate.
Its menu is quite intuitive and connectivity is another point in your favor. In short, in a “small package” you have a great camera and video.
Perhaps most notably, it can apparently have a plastic look reminiscent of beginner cameras and that’s something many don’t like.
On the other hand, battery life is not a big problem, although it is something that can be fixed with additional batteries. Another drawback is that it does not record in 4k.
And perhaps the biggest drawback is that it is in a range that may not be suitable for it. Many say that a zero is missing in the name, since the 77D nomenclature would correspond to a semi-professional camera, although in that some details would be missing, such as a more robust and waterproof body or a better optical viewfinder.
This camera has caused a bit of controversy to be in the middle of the 80D and 800D, many users do not fully understand the need for this product, Canon, for its part, will have found its motivations and I personally found mine. there are many offers, but also as many different needs as photographic users.
