1000 special photographic pieces (and a marvel inside)

This week a unique step was taken in the life of the photographer’s blog: yesterday the article number 1000 was published, which in 2010, when I published my first article on this blog, would have seemed totally impossible to me. , I have prepared some surprises that I will reveal to you below, in advance I tell you that today we convene a contest among our readers, in this article I explain how can you participate?

1,000 articles have been published shortly. Needless to say, the merit of such an achievement does not come from afar, perhaps I will take the first step, perhaps give shape, name and structure to this project in its beginnings, but the merit that it has reached where it is today for the wonderful team that accompanies me, and that it constantly works every week to nurture in you a little more this passion that unites us all here Photography.

  • Without Caro.
  • Alexa and Iaio (along with other former collaborators) would certainly have been difficult.
  • But also.
  • Without you.
  • My dear reader.
  • Whatever your name.
  • Your age (or your political ideology).
  • Where you are and the kind of camera you use.
  • Without you would have been absolutely impossible: without a reader reading what we publish.
  • Commenting.
  • Sharing and above all.
  • Putting into practice the advice we offer you.
  • The Photographer’s Blog has long since failed.
  • We celebrate with you this moment and your passion for photography.
  • Which you share with us every time you come to read one of our articles.

So from the heart?

thank you .

In addition to our common love of photography, I’ve wanted to share it with you for a long time: today we launch bdF playlists on Spotify. Yes! When it comes to music, I’m a complete drug addict, in all the creative projects I start (photography, processing, graphic design, writing articles or books) I need to listen to background music, don’t believe it, I’m not proud of anything, over time I have developed a music addiction that if I disconnect while writing a text in Word can give me a jamacuco , then, in an attempt to bring a positive side to this addiction, I decided to rename my playlists and share them publicly with you on Spotify.

To access these playlists, all you need is a Spotify account (you can open a free account here).

Once you’ve created your Spotify account, you can click on one of the following playlists and enjoy the hours and hours of music I usually listen to when I work on the blog.

And while they’re not collaborative playlists now (maybe later), from then on you can also bring your grain of sand to one of them. If you want to offer us a song to add to a playlist, just offer it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Simply include the song title and artist, and be sure to include the corresponding hashtag for the playlist (for example, #BDFRETRO). I will periodically review the news you propose with these hashtags and, where possible, try to include as many proposals as possible.

One of the premises that we have adopted in BdF from the beginning is to infect the reader of the passion for photography and try to inspire him so that, at the end of reading, he throws himself into the chamber wanting to put the theory into practice. One of the ways we used it at the time to achieve this goal was the weekly challenge, a formula we’ve been using for years, and that left a good catalog of challenges (200, no less) that we invite you to try. and practice.

After 200 challenges a week, we decided it was time to turn this formula into something much more inspiring. Thus was born “Weekly Inspiration”, a playful weekly column in which a weekly photo is born that makes a reader, which becomes the “inspiring” photo of the following week. A kind of “inspiring chain” ranging from the reader to the reader?

This week (more precisely tomorrow) you will discover a slight change that we plan to apply to our weekly inspirations. Will I let you know tomorrow in the update that Caro Musso will release?

In 2011 I opened the Instagram BoF account, toyed it for a while, took some pictures of an Expresso (another addiction, I know, I’m terrible) and the muffin (muffin, which looks cooler), and I set aside Instagram immediately. That didn’t convince me at all. For photos, the camera. For calls, reason. So I was thinking.

Years later, I was still holding on, it’s supposed to be a millennium they call now, isn’t it?(From ’82, so I’m in the middle), so it was inexplicable that Instagram didn’t hook up. I could not tell you very well what happened there, perhaps it was a mixture of the very questionable optical quality of the cameras of the smartphones of the time (quality that has improved considerably in recent years), with all the fever for showing the number of Instagram followers and all this madness of wanting. Looks like Influencer.

However, being surrounded by a fabulous editorial team, all authentic Instagrammers, does a server finally give up?

I am pleased to announce that, for a few weeks now, the photographer’s Instagram Blog account has been active again. I’ll be honest: it’s like driving again after years without squeezing the clutch. Rediscover Instagram as he says it. For now, the timeline still has little content, mainly article proposals that we publish, but I have some wonderful projects that we will implement for our Instagram followers in the coming weeks, ideas, all designed to help you take better pictures.

So, if you have Instagram, feel free to take a look at our account and become a follower.

Two things about Instagram, very important

What do you say? Visit Instagram Keep an eye out for the news we’ll be announcing soon.

This 1000-article opportunity is the best time to experience something you’ve always wanted to offer the blog reader community. At the moment, I believe that the BdF contest of 1000 articles has been convened. The contest, as you can see, is a way for me to get to know you, dear reader, a little more closely, to know what you like most about the blog to be able to create more content in the same sense, and why not, spread prices among the proposals that affect me the most ?

I’ll explain

I don’t want you to break your head thinking about equipment, cameras, tripods, projectors, editing, software, the technical quality of the video will not be taken into account at all, I want you to record it with everything you have on hand right now (remember to record it horizontally), and tell me why you like BdF, what you think is important in this medium that you do not find in others , which feature draws your attention the most in our articles and publications. Everything, tell me if you’re a VIP reader, if you’ve had access to any of our e-books, or if you feel like it, tell me which article you liked most about the blog. The approach you want to give will be totally free.

In the coming weeks, I will gather the most interesting videos in an article here on the blog as a souvenir.

Come on, put yours away and download it right away. Remember, hashtag bdF1000

1000 photographic items do a lot. If you’re new to BdF and want to explore a little more of the 1000 content we’ve been publishing for over 7 years, you can do it as follows:

Easy, isn’t it?

To close this Special, I would like to share with you the 10 articles that have pleased our readers most in the history of BoF:

As you know, each of these 1000 articles is a sincere and hard work on my part and the editorial team that accompanies me to approach photography, stimulate your creative vein and inspire you with photos you didn’t think all this is available 100% free, unconditional and ad-free. If you’re still hungry despite this, don’t hesitate to check out our photo book library where you’ll find themed publications that we’ve carefully prepared to satisfy your appetite for photography.

As I think about how to close this article “1000 special items”, I can’t think of a better way to do it than to leave you with the video of the song being played on my computer: El Golpe, from the recently created independent amateur group.

Thank you for being there to share your passion for photography. I’m waiting for your video – BdF1000.

The results of the BDF1000 video contest are here. A great and sincere THANK YOU to the brave people who stopped in front of the camera, without fear, to share a few words of thanks with the team. The photographer’s blog feeds on the relationship he has with his readers We love to read and respond to the comments you leave us on the blog and on social networks, the photos you upload about the challenges and weekly inspirations, but believe me, being able to see your face in a video is priceless. , is a gesture that “humanizes” this medium and makes it more real, more from one person to another. When I see someone talking in a short video that tells me how they discovered BdF, the improvement they have experienced in their photography through our publications, or the inspiration we give them every time we publish a new article, the feeling I feel is unmatched.

Below I leave you with the 3 finalists of the contest, with which I contact at this time for the delivery of their prizes, but to tell you the truth, consider all those who participated in this contest of videos, finalists and winners. Oh seriously.

Continue Do not stop enjoying and sharing this love of light and photography.
